Jodi Sease is in her third year of teaching at Newberry Academy, where she teaches Life Skills, Physical Education, and Agriculture. She holds an Associate Degree in Public Service (Criminal Justice) from Piedmont Technical College, earned in May 2002.

Before joining the Newberry Academy faculty, she gained a wide range of professional experience. She worked for seven years with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, managed a fitness center in Newberry for six years, and successfully owned and operated two small businesses for more than 21 years. She also spent several years serving the school as a substitute teacher, which deepened her connection to the Newberry Academy community and its students.

In the classroom, she enjoys helping students build practical life skills, stay active, and develop an appreciation for agriculture and hands-on learning.

Outside of school, she enjoys thrifting, planting flowers, crafting, decorating, and spending time with her family. She has been happily married to her husband Benji for 28 years, and together they have three children and a son-in-law. Their home is also shared with two dogs, Gunner and Kimber, and their 28-year-old African Grey parrot, Kramer.
