Igniting the Stage: Where Stories Come Alive
High School Drama is an engaging and creative course aligned with theatre and acting standards from South Carolina, Georgia, New York, and Massachusetts. Students explore the art of performance through activities such as pantomime, improvisation, and expressive speaking while developing a strong foundation in acting techniques. The course also introduces students to directing, playwriting, choreography, and the technical side of theatre, including costumes, props, scenery, lighting, and sound. Through thoughtfully designed units, students examine the influence of drama in film, television, and live theatre, attend a theatrical production, and work together on creative projects and public performances.
