At Newberry Academy, students have a wealth of opportunities to develop leadership, service, and civic engagement through a variety of dynamic programs. The Student Government Association empowers middle and high school students to represent their peers, organize school events, and lead service initiatives that benefit both campus and the broader Newberry community. Through the Junior Civitan Club, students in grades 7–12 focus on citizenship, initiative, and service, engaging in local projects that promote community engagement, environmental awareness, and social causes. Beta Club, including Junior Beta and Senior Beta, recognizes students for achievement, character, leadership, and service while providing meaningful opportunities to grow as scholars and community servants. Student Ambassadors serve as leaders and representatives of the school, guiding campus tours, supporting events, participating in community outreach, and building confidence and communication skills. The Junior Leadership Program offers structured seminars and collaborative projects that teach civic awareness, leadership theory, and professional growth, connecting students with peers and leaders from the wider community. Finally, Club America inspires students to explore civic responsibility, American history, and constitutional principles while promoting leadership, dialogue, and active engagement with their school and community. Together, these programs cultivate responsible, confident, and engaged students who are prepared to lead, serve, and make a positive impact both inside and beyond the school.
