Student Government Association
Newberry Academy believes leadership is best learned through service and involvement. Through our Student Government Association, middle and high school students take on meaningful leadership roles, representing their peers and helping shape the culture of our school. Elected by their classmates, SGA members build confidence, collaboration, and responsibility while attending both the fall and spring South Carolina Student Government Association conferences and bringing new ideas back to campus. In addition to organizing Homecoming, pep rallies, school dances, high school prom, and other community events, the SGA leads service-focused fundraising efforts that support the Newberry County Humane Society and the Salvation Army Angel Tree. Through leadership, service, and school spirit, the SGA helps create experiences that connect students to each other and to the greater Newberry community.
