Afterschool Programs
Newberry Academy is pleased to offer a safe, engaging after-school program for students in 2K through 6th grade, with care available until 5:30 PM each school day.
For 2K, 3K, and 4K, after-school care begins at 12:00 PM.
For 5K through 8th grade, after-school care begins at 2:40 PM.
This program is designed to support working families and to provide flexibility for parents who prefer to pick up younger students at the main school dismissal time of 2:40 PM.
Program Highlights
Our after-school program offers a well-rounded experience where students can relax, play, and learn in a supportive environment. Children enjoy time with friends, opportunities to recharge after a busy school day, and age-appropriate academic support, all while being cared for in a safe and engaging setting with an afternoon snack included.
Lunch Bunch Eagles (2K - 4K Only) — Care from 12:00 PM – 2:40 PM
Program Includes:
- Lunch with friends – Students may bring a packed lunch from home or pre-order through our Lunch Program.
- Extra playtime with classmates.
- Rest and nap time – A calm, supervised rest period following lunch.
Afterschool Eagles - Care After 2:40 PM
Program Includes:
- Academic support – Lower School students with homework attend a designated homework room.
- Afternoon snack — Students may bring a packed snack from home
- Outdoor play and activities – Weather permitting, students enjoy additional playtime with friends.
Program Fees & Payment Options
The after-school program is divided into two separate fee options. Fees may be drafted with tuition on the 15th of each month or paid monthly via check or cash. The exception to this fee are the months of August, December and May. The August fee is due the first week of school. An hourly fee option is available for occasional use.
Please note that all students must be picked up by 5:30 PM. Teachers plan their schedules based on this closing time. Late pickups will be charged an additional fee for every 10 minutes past 5:30 PM.
