Emily Drum

Mrs. Drum is so excited to begin her first year at Newberry Academy! She loves teaching and connecting with students and their families! Mrs. Drum is passionate about creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia International University, where she played intercollegiate soccer. Through her experiences in many different internships, as a camp counselor, and as a soccer coach, she has gained many skills and adapted to a variety of learning styles. She is thrilled to be joining the Preschool Team here at Newberry Academy. Prior to coming to NA, Mrs. Drum was the Director of Children’s Ministries at First Baptist Newberry, after which she chose to stay home and spend valuable time with her daughter. Outside the classroom, she can be found spending time with my family, drinking coffee, or cooking/baking!
